The No. 14-ranked Keiser football team claimed its fourth straight conference title with a 38-13 win at Webber International on Saturday. The Seahawks won their sixth straight contest and improved t0 7-0 in NAIA action en route to the 2022 Sun Conference crown. For the third time in program history, the Seahawks finished the year undefeated in conference play.
On Saturday, the Seahawks used 240 yards on the ground to remain perfect (6-0) all-time versus the Warriors.
Keiser 7, Webber International 0
- Winning the coin toss and deferring to the second half, Keiser's defense took the field to start the game.
- After starting their first drive on their own 12-yard line, WIU moved the ball to the Warrior's 37-yard line in six plays.
- On play number seven of the drive, Wendol Philord picked off Blake Birchler for his fourth interception of the season.
- Philord returned the INT to the WIU three-yard line, giving Keiser first-and-goal with 11:06 on the clock.
- Marques Burgess got the Seahawks on the board with a one-yard run.
- Chance Gagnon's successful extra-point attempt made it 7-0 with 9:42 left in the first quarter.
- The Warriors put together a nine-pay drive on their next possession but it only went 34 yards as KU's defense stopped WIU on fourth-and-one from the Keiser 40-yard line with a tackle for loss by Philord.
Keiser 17, Webber International 6
- Continuing its drive which began in the first quarter, Keiser drove down to the WIU three-yard line.
- A three-yard touchdown run by quarterback Shea Spencer pushed the Seahawk lead to 13-0.
- Gagnon's second successful extra-point attempt made the score 14-0 with 13:32 remaining in the half.
- The drive lasted 13 plays for 59 yards and ate up 5:26 off the game clock.
- The Warriors countered with an eight-play, 64-yard drive which was capped off by a 17-yard rushing touchdown by Terry Weems, Jr.
- A missed extra point cut Kesier's lead to 14-6.
- Gagnon converted a 26-yard field goal to extend Keiser's lead to 17-6 with 5:28 on the game clock.
Keiser 31, Webber International 6
- After a partially blocked punt by the Warriors traveled just one yard, Keiser started its second drive of the half at the WIU 25-yard line.
- Jaden Meizinger finished off the drive with an 11-yard touchdown run with 8:46 left in the third.
- Gagnon's extra point made the score 24-6.
- Keiser's defense held WIU to its second straight three-and-out, giving the ball back to the Seahawks with 7:02 on the game clock.
- Eight plays later, Spencer connected with wide out Jonathan Santos for a 15-yard touchdown pass, giving KU a 31-6 advantage.
Keiser 38, Webber International 13
- Meizinger scored his second touchdown of the game with a 41-yard scamper with 10:11 left in the game.
- The score made it a 38-6 contest.
- The Warriors got on the board with a 15-yard touchdown pass from Kristofer Sippel, Jr., to Logan Heath with 3:54 left to play.
- On the ensuing drive, Keiser used all of the remaining 3:54 on the game clock, rushing for 44 yards on six plays to end the game and give the Seahawks the Sun Conference Title.

- The Seahawks moved to 7-3 on the year with the win on Saturday.
- It also capped off a perfect 6-0 record in Sun Conference action, giving the Seahawks their fourth straight conference title and first SUN Conference championship.
- It is the program's third perfect season in conference action (2019, 2020, 2022).
- With the win, KU has now earned the SUN's automatic bid into the NAIA Football Championship Series - the fourth straight for the program.

- Keiser won the turnover battle for the sixth straight game, forcing two - a fumble and an INT. The Seahawks have forced 23 turnovers this season.
- Linebacker Jaelin Willis led the team in tackles with 12 on Saturday.
