Keiser women's tennis came out to win once again this weekend as the singles matches went undefeated to compete for the national title. 

In singles, Violet Apisah and Yvette Schmucker came out tough as they took on their opponents and came out with yet another win. Apisah defeated her opponent Tereza Koplova (GGC) 6-1, 6-4. Schmucker faced Teodora Jovic (UC) 6-2, 6-4 to come out with another victory on the weekend. Schmucker beat the No.2 seed yesterday and the No.4 today to continue the run for the national title. Tomorrow will be a Keiser versus Keiser matchup as Apisah and Schmucker compete for the national title in singles. 


Head Coach Daniel Finn said, "Happy with singles today. Both Violet and Yvette did a great job of controlling and playing within themselves in singles. They will now be able to play themselves in the championship tomorrow. Obviously, we would have liked to be playing for the doubles title as well but we didn't quite execute in the big moments and continue to work on execution.  In singles, it's a great situation to be in with an all Keiser final knowing that one way or another we will have a women's singles national champion.  I have no doubt that both girls will go out tomorrow and lay it on the line and represent themselves in the program well.  Looking forward to seeing both young ladies compete at a high level tomorrow".
