Quinton Glaspie scored a career-high 30 points on 11-of-17 shooting (5-of-5 from 3-point range) to lead the Keiser men's basketball team to a 78-58 win over the Thomas Night Hawks on Saturday afternoon. 

The forward from Detroit, Michigan, also grabbed 10 rebounds to register his second double-double of the season. The 30 points were the most scored by a Seahawk this season.

The Seahawks held the Night Hawks to zero made baskets (one made free throw) in the final 9:57 of the first half as KU used a 23-1 run to enter halftime leading, 37-21.
 
   

 
How it Happened



First Half

Keiser 37, Thomas (Ga.) 21
  • Quinton Glaspie recorded the first bucket of the game with a tip-in score at the 19:25 mark to give KU a 2-0 lead.
  • Thomas took a four-point lead, 8-4, following a 3-pointer by Jordan Booker with 17:55 on the clock.
  • Glaspie's first of five made triples in the game came at the 15:31 mark as the Seahawks regained the lead, 12-11. 
  • The Night Hawks used a 7-0 run to take their largest lead of the game, 20-14, with 9:57 left in the first half.
  • A four-point play by Tylar Cerez with 4:31 remaining in the half capped off a 16-0 run for the Seahawks, giving KU a 10-point lead, 30-20.
  • After a made free throw by TU's DeSean Enzor, KU scored 23 unanswered point to take a 16-point lead into halftime, 36-21.

Second Half

  • Keiser pushed its run to 32-5 (extended from the first half), taking a 46-25 lead with 17:08.
  • TU's Tim Williamson pulled the Night Hawks within 16, 46-30, with a fastbreak jumper at the 16:26 left in the game.
  • Glaspie hit a 3-pointer to make it a 19-point game, 49-30 (14:58).
  • After a Core'von Lott layup made it 51-32 with 14:26 on the clock, Thomas scored four straight to cut the Seahawk lead to 51-36.
  • Lott gave KU a 20-point lead with 11:48 on the clock with a fastbreak jumper, 56-36.
  • KU's lead was cut to 11 following a 3-pointer by Deonta Jones with 8:10 left in the game, 64-53.
  • The Seahawks used a 14-3 run to extend their lead to 22, 78-56, with 1:31 remaining.
