Keiser University's Sarah Byrd was named the Sun Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Champion of Character as voted on by the league's nine head coaches.

Byrd, a sophomore from Cape Coral, Florida, is the strength of the throws and of the team. She has grown into a leader of the last couple of years. Her personality is one that draws you in and she always have a positive attitude. She has volunteered at the local food banks, passing out food and water to families of need. She works in Keiser's cafeteria. She has maintained a 3.6 GPA during her first twp years of college.
