No. 4 Men's Lacrosse Caps Off Regular Season With 26-6 Victory Over Webber

The fourth-ranked Keiser Seahawks capped off the regular season with a convincing 26-6 road victory over Webber International on Saturday afternoon. The Seahawks ended the regular season with an overall record of 6-2.
 
In the victory, Cam Provines became the program leader in ground balls (110), while Dylan Sharpe moved into a tie for second with Justin Stone (108). Provines set the season record for groundballs with 85. Sharpe tied the game record for points with 11 (eight goals/three assists).

First Quarter
Keiser 8, Webber 3
  • Hunter East opened the scoring for the Seahawks with an unassisted goal at the 13:34 mark.
  • Keiser ran off the next three goals as their advantage moved to 4-0 with 9:12 to go in the opening quarter.
  • Ten seconds later, Webber International found the back of the net for the first time, trailing 4-1.
  • Anthony Senior and Cole Stassi each scored, upping the margin to 6-1 with 8:05 to go.
  • Each team tallied two goals down the stretch with the Seahawks leading 8-3 at the end of the period.

Second Quarter
Keiser 16, Webber 5
  • The Seahawks tallied the first three goals of the second with A. Senior capping off his hat-trick with 10:36 remaining in the half.
  • The Warriors netted their fourth goal of the game, but back-to-back goals by Sharpe and an unassisted tally by Provines made it 14-4 with 5:25 to go.
  • WIU scored their final goal of the half with 4:02 showing on the game clock.
  • Provines then won the faceoff and took it straight to goal as KU led 15-5.
  • Shapre capped off his phenomenal opening half with his fifth goal, giving KU the 16-5 advantage at the half.

Third Quarter
Keiser 22, Webber 6
  • East secured his hat-trick with 13:44 showing, extending the Seahawks lead to 17-5.
  • Sharpe and Stassi continued the scoring run before the Warriors scored at the 9:26 mark with KU in front, 19-6.
  • The final three goals of the quarter belonged to Keiser with the final tally coming by Stassi, completing his hat-trick with the Seahawks in clear control, 22-6.

Fourth Quarter
Keiser 26, Webber 6
  • All four goals in the fourth quarter belonged to Keiser with the Seahawks running away with the regular-season finale, 26-6.
  • Sharpe accounted for two of the goals while Ryan Schwartz and John Senior had the others.

  • 8: Sharpe's eight goals were the second-most in a game, one shy of the record.
