Five Seahawks reached double-figures in scoring (Antwan Claxton, Core'von Lott, Marko Radulovic, Quinton Glaspie, Shaquille Harris) as Keiser defeated the Taylor (Ind.) Trojans, 75-62, on Tuesday night from Babson Park, Florida.

A pair of free throws by Antonio Spencer with 12:28 left in the second half sparked an 11-0 run for the Seahawks which gave Keiser a double-digit lead (61-49).  
 

 
How it Happened



First Half

Keiser 42, Taylor (Ind.) 39
  • After Taylor (Ind.) jumped out to its largest lead of the game (three points), Claxton pulled KU within one with a made layup at the 17:26 mark of the first.
  • Radulovic gave the Seahawks the lead with a bucket with 16:06 on the clock, 6-5.
  • The buckets by Claxton and Radulovic triggered an 11-0 run which pushed the Seahawks' lead to eight, 13-5, with 14:52 remaining in the half. 
  • Harris increased the team's lead to nine, 16-7, with a three-pointer at the 14:12 mark.
  • Keiser took its first double-digit lead of the game following a three-pointer by Tyler Cerez, 19-9 (12:24).
  • A steal by Glaspie led to a layup by Claxton, giving KU its largest lead of the half, 21-9 (12:01). 
  • The Trojan's slowly chipped away at the Keiser lead, cutting it to 40-37 with 48 seconds left in the half. 
  • Glaspie pushed the lead to five, 42-37, with a bucket in the paint (00:23).
  • But, TU's Jackson Lewis scored the final bucket of the half to cut the lead to 42-39.

Second Half

Keiser 75, Taylor (Ind.) 62
  • Taylor regained the lead following a layup by Jason Hubbard with 18:40 left in the game (43-42).
  • Glaspie put the Seahawks ahead on the ensuing possession, 44-43 (18:24).
  • The Trojans made it a one-point game on a dunk by Hubbard, 50-49, with 12:42 remaining. 
  • The Seahawks went on an 11-0 run beginning with a pair of made free throws by Spencer with 12:28 on the clock (52-49).
  • The run gave KU a 12-point advantage with 7:34 left in the second half. 
  • A 10-4 run by the Seahawks pushed KU's lead to 18 with 3:29 remaining, 71-53.
  • Keiser held a double-digit lead for the final 3:29 of the contest to win 75-62.
 


Game Notes

  • With the win, Keiser improved to 6-7 on the year.
  • With the win, the Seahawks improved to 2-0 all-time versus the Trojans.
  • The Seahawks are now 8-7 all-time versus teams from Indiana.
  • The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Seahawks. 
  • Tuesday was the first neutral-site game for Keiser this season.
  • Five Seahawks scored in double-figures on Thursday (Claxton - 17; Lott - 15; Radulovic - 13; Glaspie - 13; Harris - 10).
  • It was the sixth straight game in which Claxton led the Seahawks in scoring.
