The Keiser women's basketball erased a nine-point deficit in the fourth quarter but could not come away with the victory as the Seahawks fell to the Warner Royals, 51-48, on Thursday night.

A layup by Warner's Audre'Anna Judie broke a 47-47 tied with 44.9 seconds left in the game as the Royals held on for the victory. 
 
 
How it Happened


First Quarter

Warner 11, Keiser 8
  • Shykim Gillion gave the Seahawks an early lead, 2-0, with the first basket of the game.
  • Warner used a 6-0 run to take an 8-3 lead.
  • A three-pointer by Andressa Nascimento tied the game at 8-all.
  • The Royals closed out the quarter, extending the lead, 11-8.

Second Quarter

Warner 23, Keiser 19
  • After a 3-pointer by Audre'Anna Judie 3-pointer extended the Warner lead to 14-10, Angela Denis converted 1-of-2 from the free-throw line to cut the deficit to 14-11.
  • A jumper by Jasmine Edwards gave Warner a 16-11 advantage.
  • Nascimento brought the Seahawks within two, 16-14, with a shot from downtown.
  • Following a pair of made free throws by the Royals, a 3-pointer by Kaitlyn Fertig cut the Royal lead to one, 18-17.
  • WU used a 5-2 run to close out the half, 23-19 

Third Quarter

Warner 39, Keiser 30
  • Nacscimento tied the game at 25-25 with a jumper at the 7:36 mark of the third.
  • Warner went on a 5-0 run to regain its lead, 30-25.
  • The Royals pushed their lead to double-digits following a pair of made free throw, 28-27.
  • Elise Ellison-Coons hit the second of two free-throw attempts in the waning moments of the quarter to pull the Seahawks within nine, 39-30. 

Fourth Quarter

Warner 51, Keiser 48
  • Seahawks went on a 15-6 run to tie the game at 45-45 after Angela Denis hit the first of two free throw with 3:08 left in the game.
  • Coons-Ellison gave Keiser a two-point lead with two made free throws, 47-45, with 1:44 on the clock.
  • WU's Jasmine Edwards tied the game with a layup, 47-47. 
  • Off an offensive rebound, WU's Judie hit the go-ahead layup with 44.9 seconds left.
  • The Royals held off the Seahawks to hand Keiser the three-point loss.
