It was Deja Vu for both the Seahawks and the Bobcats as Core'von Lott hit the game-winning shot with time winding down, leading Keiser to a 68-66 win on Thursday night. In a rematch of last year's Sun Conference Championship Game, it was Lott who again hit the "dagger" to give KU the victory over STU.

With the game tied a 66-66, Core'von Lott converted a fast break layup to give the Seahawks a two-point lead with just 3.3 seconds left to play. Marko Radulovic grabbed a big defensive rebound and found Lott for the fast break score.  
 
 
How it Happened



First Half

Keiser 35, St. Thomas 32
  • Keiser opened the game with an 11-1 run capped off by a pair of made free throws by David Pierce Jr. (16:47)
  • A layup by STU's Augustus Stone cut the KU lead to 11-8 with 13:52 on the clock.
  • Pierce Jr. converted a layup off a Quinton Glaspie steal to extend the Seahawk lead to 17-8 (12:27)
  • Core'von Lott gave the Seahawks their biggest lead of the game following two made free throws with 10:57 left in the half.
  • The Bobcats tied the game at the 8:25 mark after going on a 10-0 run.
  • Christian Miller-Cardwell pushed KU's lead to five (25-20) with two successful trips to the line.
  • Pierce Jr. put KU up by eight, 34-26, with a made jumper at the 3:15 mark.
  • A trey by Stone brought the Bobcats within three (35-32) heading into intermission.

Second Half

Keiser 68, St. Thomas 66
  • St. Thomas took its first lead of the game with a layup by Stone with 17:43 on the game clock (36-35).
  • Over the next eight minutes the lead changed hands five times.
  • A jumper by Jahsim Floyd gave the Bobcats a 10-point lead with 7:03 left in the game (62-52).
  • Two free throws by Marko Radulovic cut the STU lead to three, 64-41. 
  • After the Bobcats pushed their lead to five, Lott hit a jumper with 2:06 left to play to make it a one-score game, 66-63.
  • With 1:11 on the game clock, Radulovic hit a game-tying three, drawing the Seahawks even with the Bobcats, 66-66.
  • After a missed trey by Jonas Parker, Radulovic sent an outlet pass to Lott for the go-ahead bucket with 3.3 seconds left to play, 68-66. 
  • KU held onto the two-point lead en route to its second straight Sun Conference victory.  
 


Game Notes

  • With the win, Keiser improves to 3-1 on the year and 2-1 in Sun Conference action.
  • For the second straight time, Lott hit the game-winning shot with less than four seconds on the game clock to lift KU over the Bobcats (hit the game-winner with one tick on the clock as Keiser claimed the 2021 Sun Conference Tournament Championship crown last season).
  • The Seahawks improve to 20-15 all-time versus the Bobcats. 
  • Keiser improves to 16-14 all-time versus STU in Sun Conference games.
  • Tonight marked the 17th meeting all-time between the two teams in West Palm Beach, Florida, with KU improving to 11-6 in those games. 
  • Four Seahawks scored in double-figures on Thursday (David Pierce Jr. - 14; Core'von Lott - 12; Christian Miller-Cardwell - 11; Marko Radulovic - 10).
  • With 12 points today, Core'von Lott has reached double-figures in scoring in 30 games as a Seahawk.
