The Keiser Seahawks led wire-to-wire for the team's first Sun Conference victory of the 2021-22 season, defeating the Coastal Georgia Mariners, 63-54, on Saturday afternoon.
Elise Ellison-Coons led all Seahawks with a career-high 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting.
Chiara De Virgilio also reached double-figures in scoring, pouring in 13 points with seven rebounds and team-high three steals.

Elise Ellison-Coons rattled off five straight points to give the Seahawks an eight-point cushion with 5:26 left in the game.
Keiser 17, Coastal Georgia 8
- Keiser opened the game with a 6-0 run, capped off with a layup by Angela Denis with 7:14 left in the first.
- Two free throws with 5:18 on the clock by Chiara De Virgilio gave the Seahawks a 9-3 lead.
- Shykim Gillion extended the Seahawks' lead to nine with a made jumper at the 3:59 mark (13-5).
- A 3-point play by CCGA's Sonia Forney cut Keiser's lead to to five with 3:35 on the game clock.
- Buckets by Elliana Schaefer and Elise Ellison-Coons closed out the first as Keiser added to its lead, 17-8.
Keiser 34, Coastal Georgia 22
- The Seahawks took a double-digit lead following a 3-pointer by Andressa Nascimento, 20-8, with 8:54 left in the half.
- A pair of made free throws by Taylor Jones gave Keiser a 26-15 lead (5:08).
- De Virgilio drained a trey with 3:51 left in the half to give the Seahawks a 29-17 lead.
- Ellison-Coons made the score 32-19 with 1:15 on the clock - the Seahawks then-biggest lead of the game.
- De Virgilio made it a 15-point game with a layup (0:21).
- A 3-pointer by the Mariners' Nicole Hofmann closed out the half as KU enter the break up 12 (34-22).
Keiser 48, Coastal Georgia 43
- The Mariners went on an 8-0 run to start the second half capped off with a jumper by Joyce Jordan with 6:10 remaining in the third.
- De Virgilio ended CCGA's run with a shot from downtown, 37-30 (5:52).
- The Keiser lead was cut to 43-40 following a pair made shot from the charity stripe by Kaliyah Little (3:32)
- Ellison-Coons pushed the Seahawks lead to 48-40 after going 3-for-4 from the charity stripe in the final 1:13 on the third.
- Coastal Georgia hit a 3-pointer with 0:16 left to make the score 48-43.

- Keiser extended its lead following a 5-0 run to being the fourth as a layup by Ellison-Coons pushed the Seahawk lead to 10 (8:55 remaining).
- A 3-pointer by CCGA's Hofmann with 7:14 on the game clock capped a 7-0 run by the Mariners and cut KU's lead to three, 53-50.
- Ellison-Coons scored five straight points for the Seahawks as Keiser added to its lead, 58-50 (5:26 on the clock).
- A layup by Jones pushed Keiser's lead to 11 (63-52 with 2:31 left).
- The Mariners could only muster two made free throws in the final two minutes of the game as Keiser earned its first conference victory of the season, 63-54.
