Keiser was unable to overcome poor shooting from the field (23.7 percent) as the Seahawks fell to the Thomas Night Hawks in the team's Sun Conference opener, 59-43.

TU went on a 10-0 run to end the first half, giving the Night Hawks a 28-18 advantage.

- After falling behind, 5-0, KU used a pair of 3-pointers by Chiara De Virgilio and Andressa Nascimento to take a 6-5 lead with 7:56 left in the quarter.
- Trailing 10-8 with 2:19 on the game clock freshman Elliana Schaefer drained a trey to give the Seahawks the 11-10 advantage.
- Buckets by TU's Jaleigh Miller and Alexis Boston gave the Night Hawks a four-point lead after 10 minutes of action.

- KU battled back to start the second as Angela Denis rattled off six straight points for the Seahawks to take a 16-15 lead with 8:19 remaining in the half.
- Down two, 18-16, a jumper by Kaitlyn Fertig tied the game at 18-all with 6:50 left on the game clock.
- The Seahawks hit a dry spell in the final six and a half minutes, going 0-for-5 from the floor and committing three turnovers.
- The Night Hawks went on a 10-0 run to end the half and take a 28-18 lead.

- A tip-in bucket by Elise Ellison-Coons cut the lead to single digits early in the quarter (9:02).
- However, TU extended its lead 12 following a pair of made free throws by Amayla Sharif with 8:11 left in the third.
- Another tip-in basket by Ellison-Coons dropped TU's lead to eight (34-26) with five minutes left in the third.
- The Night Hawks out-scored the Seahawks, 9-5, in the final five minutes of the quarter to take a 43-31 lead.

- The Seahawks cut the lead back to single digits following a layup by Stina Rehn-Andersson with 8:24 left to play.
- TU regained an 11-point lead before a Schaefer layup made it nine (47-38) with 7:31 on the clock.
- The Night Hawks extended their lead 51-38 following a jumper by Ta'Nija Watson (5:41).
- Buckets by Schaefer and Denis brought the TU lead back down to nine (51-42 with 4:02 remaining).
- Thomas closed out the game on an 8-1 run to come away with the 59-43 victory.
