The Keiser women's tennis team heads to Fort Myers, Fla., on Friday to compete against the Eagles of Florida Gulf Coast. The matches will be played all day on Friday, October 22 at 1:00 PM at the FGCU Tennis Complex on the Florida Gulf Coast campus.
Seven Seahawks are set to make the trip to Fort Myers, including ITA Regional Champions,
Nicole Coopersmith and
Vanja Vidanovic. Coopersmith and Vidanovic will be making a quick turnaround after Coopersmith reached the final in singles, and the pair reached the finals in doubles. Joining the two will be
Florencia Araya,
Anique Engelbrecht,
Eleonora Guglielmetti,
Madalena Peneda, and
Kanon Sorakubo who will all be seeing their first action since the ITA Regional Championships held in September.
The Eagles return just three players from their 2020-21 season in which they finished 8-7. Their top returner, Sophomore Emma Bardet finished 3-5 last season in the No. 2 spot.

"We're excited for the match," said Head Coach
Daniel Finn. "We don't generally have a lot of fall dual matches, but this one couldn't be a better opportunity. Every single girl playing tomorrow has yet to play in a college team match before. Therefore it's a a great opportunity for us to see how they will react to situations, and for them to see how things will be handled going into the spring. Tomorrow will definitely be a day full of opportunities against a strong opponent."
