The Keiser men's basketball team torched the nets to a tune of 48.5 percent shooting from the field Saturday evening as they sailed past Coastal Georgia, 94-71.




Keiser 48, Coasal Georgia 35

• The two Sun Conference foes traded blows in the opening 5:51 as the score was knotted up at 14-14.
• Marko Radulovic had the hot hand early for the Seahawks with eight points.
• Back-to-back threes by Darius Bryant and CoreVon Lott sparked an 8-0 run, giving the Seahawks a 22-14 lead at the 11:38 mark.
• Coastal Georgia responded with a 6-0 spurt to draw within two, 22-20, as 10:54 remained in the half.
• Five different Seahawks scored over the next eight minutes as Keiser answered with a 21-4 surge to build their largest lead of the half, 43-24, as 2:51 showed on the clock.
• The Mariners scored nine of the final 14 points of the period as the Seahawks took a 48-35 advantage into the locker room.

Keiser 71, Coastal Georgia 94

• Coastal Georgia rattled off the first four points of the second half to trim the deficit back down to single digits, 48-39, at the 19:08 mark.
• The two sides traded baskets over the next three minutes as Keiser led 52-45 at the first media stoppage of the half.
• Out of the break, Keiser totaled 11 of the next 15 points to push their advantage back to double figures, 63-49, and force a Coastal Georgia timeout at the 12:11 mark. Lott capped off the stretch with five consecutive points.
• The Mariners stopped the bleeding momentarily with a three out of the timeout, but back-to-back threes by Michael Gavin and Lott pushed the lead up to 69-52 with 11:00 remaining in the game.
• The two squads were nearly even on the scoreboard over the next five minutes before Keiser reeled off seven straight points to grow their advantage to 22, 88-66, at the 4:28 mark.
•  Khalid Pogue delivered the final two points of the game from the charity stripe as the Seahawks came away with a 94-71 victory.

• 4: Lott, Gavin and Quinton Glaspie dished out four assists each in the win.
• 5: The Seahawks won the battle on the boards, 37-32.
• 6: Antwan Claxton and Glaspie each pulled down six rebounds apiece to lead all players.
• 7: Keiser won the turnover battle against the Mariners, 11-4. 
• 11: Eleven different Seahawks found their way into the scoring column, led by Lott with a game-best 25.
• 33: The Seahawks connected on 33-of-68 attempts on 48.5 percent shooting.
• 44.0: Keiser made it rain from deep with 11 threes on 44.0 percent shooting in the win.
