Behind a 52-point second half outburst, the Keiser men's basketball team rolled to their second consecutive victory as they blew past their Sun Conference rival, Southeastern, 90-71 Saturday night on the road. With the win, the Seahawks have now won four of their last five contests.
Keiser 38, Southeastern 39
- The opening two minutes saw little separation between the two rivals as Keiser held the 5-3 advantage following an Antwan Claxton three-pointer from the corner.
- Southeastern responded with an 8-0 run to take an 11-5 lead at the 15:59 mark.
- Marko Radulovic ended the stretch with his first triple of the game from the top of the arc, cutting the deficit to three, 11-8, as Southeastern took their first timeout with 14:28 left in the half.
- Following a Fire basket out of the stoppage, Michael Gavin jump started an 8-0 run with a tough finish at the rim and bookended the spurt with an elbow jumper, putting Keiser in front, 16-13, as 10:57 remained in the period.
- A split at the line for the Fire sparked an 11-2 run as the home team took their largest lead of the half, 24-18, with 6:05Â to go in the period.
- After exchanging the next five points, Darius Bryant hit back-to-back threes, evening the game at 29-29 with 4:04 left in the half.
- Following an SEU three-pointer, CoreVon Lott connected on consecutive triples as Keiser went back in front, 35-32, at the 3:29 mark. The juniors second triple capped off a 12-3 run by the Seahawks.
- Southeastern knotted the score for a third time in the half courtesy of an and-one with 2:10 left before the break.
- The lead exchanged hands four times as Southeastern took a 39-38 advantage into the break.

- Harris evened the score out of the break with a split at the foul line, but Southeastern quickly regained the lead, 44-39, with five consecutive points as 18:37 showed on the clock.
- Keiser responded with seven of the next 11 points, locking up the score at 48-48 following a Harris layup, forcing a Southeastern timeout at the 16:56 mark.
- Out of the timeout, Lott scored five consecutive points, pushing the Keiser advantage to five, 53-48, with 15:49 to go in the contest.
- Over the next two minutes, the teams traded baskets with KU clinging to a 58-56 advantage at the 13:00 mark.
- The Seahawks then caught fire, using a 17-3 run to take a 75-59 advantage with 7:34 remaining in regulation. Claxton capped off the big run with a three-pointer, the 12th of the contest for Keiser.
- Southeastern got as close as 79-67 with 5:23 left but five straight points by Claxton along with a pair of Harris free throws bumped the Seahawks advantage to 84-67 with 5:02 to go.
- A Quinton Glaspie layup with 3:30 remaining gave the Seahawks their largest lead of the night, 88-69.
- The Seahawks would go on to defeat the Fire for a second time this season, 90-71.
- 4: Four different Seahawks tallied at least five rebounds, led by Claxton and Lott with six each.
- 6: Lott capped off his all-around performance with a game-best six dimes in the win.
- 9: Keiser won the rebounding battle, 38-29, in the victory.
- 10: Ten of the 12 Seahawks that saw action found their way into the scoring column.
- 13: Keiser made it rain from behind the arc with 13 made threes on the evening.
- 14: Gavin set a new season-high in the win with 14 points.
- 18: Claxton and Lott led the way for the Seahawks with a team-best 18 points apiece.
- 54.0: The Seahawks shot an astounding 54 percent from the field in the win.
