The Keiser men's basketball team led wire-to-wire as they picked up their second straight win avenging their season opening loss to Sun Conference foe St. Thomas, 71-58, Saturday afternoon.
Keiser 39, St. Thomas 29
- Keiser used a 5-0 and 10-0 run with a St. Thomas basket sandwiched in between to explode out of the gates to a 15-2 lead with 15:51 remaining in the half.
- Shaquille Harris spearheaded the quick start with seven of the 15 points and capped off the 10-0 stretch with an and-one.
- The Bobcats responded with a 10-0 surge of their own to trim the lead to 15-12 at the 12:45 mark before a Quinton Glaspie jumper put an end to the stretch.
- Following a St. Thomas basket out of a Keiser timeout, Marko Radulovic drilled home back-to-back three-pointers to spark a 14-0 run as the Seahawks bloomed their lead to the largest of the game, 31-15, with 7:51 before the break.
- A Tyrik Waite three-pointer stopped the bleeding for the Bobcats and led to an 11-2 spurt as St. Thomas cut the lead to six, 33-27 at the 4:01 mark.
- Antwan Claxton netted a triple from the top of the key and Darius Bryant followed with a wing three to put an end to the St. Thomas stretch and push Keiser's lead back to 12, 39-27, with 2:56 to go in the half.
- St. Thomas connected on the final basket of the period with 1:37 showing on the clock as Keiser headed to the break with a 39-29 advantage.

- The game of runs continued in the opening 1:26 of the final period as St. Thomas scored the first seven points to cut the deficit to three, 39-36, forcing a Keiser timeout.
- After four empty possessions to start, Radulovic put an end to the drought with a fastbreak layup with 16:58 showing on the clock.
- Both teams traded baskets over the next couple minutes of action before St. Thomas scored back-to-back buckets to get within one, 43-42, with 13:17 left in the game.
- Keiser answered with four straight points of their own to stretch their advantage back to five, 47-42, following a CoreVon Lott layup at the 11:52 mark.
- The next 4:32 saw an exchange of baskets between both squads as Keiser held their five-point advantage, 56-51.
- Foul trouble plagued the Bobcats over the ensuing minute as two starters fouled out, which helped spark a 7-1 Keiser run as the Seahawks stretched their lead back to double digits, 63-52, at the 4:41 mark.
- Waite put an end to the Keiser surge with a three on the following possession to draw St. Thomas to within eight, 63-55.
- Keiser closed out the final minutes strong scoring eight of the final 11 points to protect home court and come away with a 71-58 win.
- 3: For the second time this season, Harris swatted three shots in the win to lead all players.
- 4: Four Seahawks reached double figures on the afternoon, led by Harris with a game-high 21.
- 8: Lott and Bryant combined to dish out eight assists with four a piece.
- 9: Harris topped all players with a game-best nine rebounds in the win.
- 16: The Seahawks largest lead of the contest was 16, which came at the 8:00 mark.
