No. 5 Men's Lacrosse Cruises Past St. Andrews on Senior Night, 22-1

No. 5 Keiser men's lacrosse honored their eight seniors before the game on Senior Night: Emmanuel Walker, Aaron Collins, Jonathon Joseph, Lucas Muzzey, Paul Lipinski, Dylan Sharpe, Austin Fults, and Mark Martinez.

The Seahawks proceeded to route visiting St. Andrews. All eight seniors started the contest, and the game's opening two goals were scored by seniors as well in the dominant outing. 

First Quarter
No. 5 Keiser 3 , St. Andrews 0
  • Muzzey opened the scoring with an unassisted goal in the first minute of play.
  • Keiser doubled the margin when Sharpe scored a man-up goal off a pass from Cole Stassi with 11:46 remaining.
  • Stassi notched the final tally of the quarter as Hunter East was credited with the assist.
Second Quarter
No. 5 Keiser 7 , St. Andrews 0
  • Sharpe scored a pair of man-up goals between an unassisted tally from Stassi as the Seahawks led 6-0 with 1:40 remaining in the half.
  • Josten Ucros found the back of the net with 15 seconds left off a pass from Stassi to lead 7-0 at the halftime break.
  • Keiser dominated the opening half, outshooting the visitors, 26-6, and holding a 28-10 advantage on ground balls.
Third Quarter
No. 5 Keiser 14, St. Andrews 1
  • Keiser opened their lead up even more to 10-0 by scoring the first three goals of the second half. The tenth goal came off a nifty over the shoulder finish from Landon Underwood on a pass from Muzzey.
  • St. Andrews broke through for the first time at the 10:55 mark, but the Seahawks had four different players score the final four goals of the frame to go into the fourth quarter leading 14-1. 
Fourth Quarter
No. 5 Keiser 22, St. Andrews 1
  • The senior Sharpe started the quarter by netting his fifth score of the game, and six others would find the back of the net as well in the quarter as St. Andrews had no answer for the Seahawks' attack.
  • When the dust had cleared, Keiser outscored SAU 8-0 over the course of the final 15 minutes of play. The Seahawks also put in the game's final 12 scores.
  • Three of the goals in the final quarter came on man-up opportunities and six of the goals were assisted, as KU cruised to the 22-1 result. 
 KU Highlights
  • 5: Sharpe's five goals matched his career-high. Five Seahawks also notched hat-tricks. 
  • 7: Patrick Gillson stopped seven shots in net. 
  • 8-11: Keiser made the most of their man-up opportunities.
  • 9-6: Stassi led Keiser with nine points on three goals and six assists. The six assists tied a program-record for a single game.
  • 10: Sharpe collected a game-high ten ground balls. 
  • 16: KU's 16 assists tied for the second-highest total in program-history.
  • 18-26: Keiser won 18-of-26 faceoffs, led by 14-of-19 from Collins. 
  • 59-22: The Seahawks outshot St. Andrews 59-22, and the 59 shots set a new program-record. 
  • 61: Keiser's 61 ground balls set a new program-record.
