No. 6 Keiser men's basketball claimed their 20th win of the 2019-2020 season, going on the road to knock off Thomas and sweep the season series with the Night Hawks.  

How it Happened

First Half
No. 6 Keiser 38, Thomas 33
  • The Seahawks raced out to a 7-0 lead in the game's first few minutes.
  • Thomas responded with nine straight points of their own, staking claim to their first lead of the game.
  • The lead would change hands on two occasions before Thomas led by a 14-12 margin.
  • Keiser, however, rattled off 11 straight points to establish a 23-14 lead, a run that was started by a Ryan Kroll three-pointer.
  • Seven straight points from the Night Hawks brought TU to within two points, 23-21, but Keiser kept the hosts from drawing even.
  • With KU leading 29-23, Thomas once again made a push to equalize or regain the lead with a 5-0 run, but Charles' Chung's trifecta switched the momentum back to the Seahawks.
  • Keiser led for the remainder of the half by three or more points, and Gavin Antoine's bucket inside in the waning seconds of the half gave the Seahawks a 38-33 lead going into the break. 
Second Half
No. 6 Keiser 84, Thomas 64
  • The Seahawks took firm control of the game in the second half's early moments, establishing a 54-38 lead on the strength of a 16-5 run, capped off by a three-pointer from Marko Orlic.
  • The KU lead would reach 20 points as the clock approached ten minutes to play, as Mark Gordon exploded to the basket for a bucket along with a foul to bring the score to 65-45.
  • Keiser led by its widest margin, 70-49, when the Night Hawks started an 11-0 run to trim their deficit to just ten points with 5:15 remaining.
  • The Seahawks' advantage was just nine points, 73-64, with 3:17 on the clock when Keiser scored the final 11 points of the game to seal the 84-64 victory.
  • The win was Keiser's 20th this season, as KU swept the season series with Thomas while extending their advantage in the all-time series to 11-4.
