No. 6 Keiser faced a first-half deficit as large as 21 points on the road at Ave Maria in Sun Conference play, but the Seahawks surged back for a remarkable comeback to claim the program's 12th straight win over the Gyrenes.

  • Ave Maria established a big lead early, racing out to a 16-2 lead at the 13:52 mark.
  • Keiser produced the next seven points, all from Jermar Perkins, bringing the score to 16-9 with 12:19 left in the half.
  • The Gyrenes then went on a 14-0 run, staking claim to what would be their largest lead, 30-9 with 8:32 on the clock.
  • The Seahawks went on a 7-0 run with four more points from Perkins to get within 30-16 with 6:59 to play in the first half.
  • After going down by 20 points on two occasions, Perkins once again led a 7-0 run to close the half as Keiser trailed, 40-27.
Second Half

  • Keiser began to chip into the Ave Maria lead, bringing it down to single digits , 46-37 after a Marko Orlic three-pointer with 15:09 on the clock.
  • The Seahawks drew to as close as six points on three occasions, but Ave Maria maintained their advantage all the way until the 6:08 mark, with the score sitting at 61-52.
  • A 6-0 run brought Keiser to within a single-possession, 61-58, with 4:51 to play, but the Gyrenes built their lead right back up to seven, 65-58, with 3:46 on the clock.
  • The tide turned dramatically from that point forward, as Keiser buckled down defensively and executed well offensively in the waning moments.
  • Orlic hit two free-throws and Ryan Kroll hit a driving layup with 1:21 remaining to trail by one. 65-64.
  • The Seahawks earned two more stops on the defensive end, setting the stage for a crucial possession with a chance to take their first lead.
  • Marko Radulovic made the most of it, swooping into the lane with his left hand for a finger roll with just seven seconds remaining.
  • It was Radulovic's first basket of the game and proved to be the game-winner, as Ave Maria's Leo Behrend had a contested three-pointer right before the horn miss its mark.
