Keiser picked up their second straight victory while moving back to .500 in Sun Conference play with a 68-62 road victory at Thomas University.

How it Happened

First Quarter
Keiser 21, Thomas 17
  • Thomas ran out to an early 10-2 advantage before the Seahawks matched the run to tie the game at 12-12 at the first media timeout.
  • During the stretch, Emily Patton hit a pair from beyond the arc and Antigonie Sanabria contributed four points.
  • The next four points belonged to Keiser as they took their first lead of the game, 16-12, with 2:43 remaining in the quarter.
  • The Night Hawks closed to within a point on pair of occasions but Patton nailed a three-pointer with 36 seconds remaining to lead 21-17 at the end of the quarter.
  • Patton led the way with 13 points, going 4-of-5 from three-point range.

Second Quarter
Keiser 28, Thomas 29
  • Patton accounted for the Seahawks opening five points as their lead grew to 26-19 at the 6:57 mark.
  • Thomas buckled down defensively, holding KU to just one basket during the remainder of the period as the Night Hawks led 29-28 at halftime.

Third Quarter
Keiser 44, Thomas 39
  • After Thomas scored on their opening possession, back-to-back layups from Patton and Sanabria put KU back on top, 32-31, with 9:02 to go.
  • The Night Hawks answered right back with seven unanswered points, reclaiming a 38-32 advantage with 6:53 remaining.
  • Chiara De Virgilio tallied the next five points as the Seahawks trailed by one with 6:01 showing on the scoreboard.
  • Out of the media timeout, Sanabria nailed a three-pointer as KU led 40-39 with 4:39 left in the frame.
  • Sanabria and Keondra Smith had the lone field goals during the remainder of the quarter to make it 44-39 in favor of Keiser.

Fourth Quarter
Keiser 68, Thomas 62
  • The Seahawks led 52-43 when Thomas went on a 6-0 run to get within three with 6:02 remaining.
  • A layup and free throw by Shykim Gillion sparked a 9-0 run with the final six points coming from Sanabria as Keiser led 61-49 with 3:20 left.
  • Thomas got as close as five, 67-62, with seven seconds to go but Patton put the game away by splitting at the line as the Seahawks won their second straight game.
