The Seahawks picked up their first victory of the season on Thursday evening, defeating Coastal Georgia, 81-74.
Keiser 13, Coastal Georgia 22
- Coastal Georgia scored the opening six points and held the Seahawks scoreless until Emily Patton hit a jumper with 6:32 on the clock.
- Keiser used a 6-2 spurt to tie the game at eight-apiece with 4:02 remaining in the first period.
- The Mariners answered right back with five unanswered points to lead 13-8 at the 2:58 mark.
- A layup and free throw by Angela Denis cut the Seahawks deficit to two, 15-13, with 1:56 left.
- However, CCG end the quarter on an 8-0 run to lead 22-13.
Keiser 38, Coastal Georgia 35
- The Seahawks trailed by as many eight, 27-19, when Stina Rehn-Andersson and Chiara De Virgilio hit back-to-back three-pointers, trimming the margin to two with 5:57 to go in the half.
- The Mariners briefly halted the Keiser run with a three-pointer of their own but a Shykim Gillion layup and De Virgilio three-pointer knotted the game at 30-30 with 2:33 left.
- Rehn-Andersson gave KU their first lead of the night, 33-30, knocking down a bucket from long range with 1:27 showing on the scoreboard.
- Antigonie Sanabria capped the 11-0 run for the Seahawks with a three-pointer with 45 seconds to go, leading 36-30.
- Keiser went into the half on top of the Mariners, 38-35, connecting on five buckets from long range in the quarter.

- KU opened the new half with an 8-2 burst, increasing their advantage to 46-37 at the 7:02 mark. During the run, Sanabria and De Virgilio connected from distance.
- The Mariners got as close as 49-44 when Patton converted on a layup, jump-starting a mini 5-0 run to lead 54-45 with 3:40 left.
- A Denis layup gave the Seahawks their first double-digit lead of the game, 60-50, with 29 ticks.
- With one quarter remaining, KU was on top of the home team, 60-52.

- Both teams struggled from the field during the first five minutes as KU held a 66-56 advantage.
- The Seahawks took their largest lead of the game, 68-56, when Coastal Georgia went on an 8-0 run to get within four with 3:16 to go.
- Keiser came right back with four quick points, upping the margin to 72-64 with 2:26 left in regulation.
- The Mariners matched the run with four consecutive points of their own, trailing, 72-68 with 1:34 remaining.
- De Virgilio then buried her fourth triple of the game as the advantage moved to 75-68 with 1:08 to go.
- The Seahawks iced the game away at the free throw line for their first victory of the season, 81-74.
- 1: Sanabria notched her first double-double of the year with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
- 4: Keiser had four players finish with double-digit points led by Sanabria's game-best 21 points.
