Keiser University claimed their fourth straight victory while moving back to .500 on the year with a 67-50 victory over Florida College on Thursday evening.
Keiser 18, Florida 14
- The Seahawks notched four quick points as Florida College took a timeout just a minute into the contest.
- FC took their first lead of the game, 8-6, on a three-pointer at the 6:40 mark.
- Andressa Nascimento scored the next three points before the Falcons connected on their third basket from beyond the arc as KU called a timeout, trialing, 11-9 with 4:34 remaining.
- Keiser played from behind until Antigonie Sanabria scored the final seven points of the quarter to lead 18-14.
Keiser 36, Florida 23
- Shykim Gillion and Keondra Smith hit back-to-back jumpers as the Seahawks advantage grew to 24-14 with 8:20 showing on the scoreboard.
- The Falcons trimmed their deficit to 24-18 when KU ran off six straight points to lead 30-18 with 4:47 left in the opening half.
- Keiser went into the halftime break with a 36-23 advantage as Sanabria dropped a team-best 13 points.
Keiser 49, Florida 36
- The Seahawks opened the new half on a 7-0 run which was capped by five straight points from Emily Patton as the lead stood at 43-23 with 5:50 left.
- Florida College answered right back with nine unanswered points to trail 43-32 with 4:30 remaining.
- Back-to-back three-pointers from Patton and Stina Rehn-Andersson stalled the run as the Seahawks advantage moved to 49-32 with 3:32 to go.
- The Falcons notched the final four points of the quarter, trialing Keiser, 49-36, with one quarter left in regulation.
Keiser 67, Florida 50
- The Falcons trimmed their margin to single digits, 51-42, with 7:04 remaining in the final quarter.
- Keiser answered back with a 9-2 spurt, highlighted by six points from Keondra Smith as the margin favored KU, 60-44, with 3:54 left at the media timeout.
- The teams traded buckets down the stretch with the Seahawks winning their fourth straight game by a final of 67-50.
