Keiser University dropped their second straight contest to open the 2020 campaign as they fell 66-63 in a back-and-forth affair on the road at Truett McConnell.
Keiser 15, Truett McConnell 8
- Keiser jumped out to the early lead with a 7-0 spurt to open the contest behind five points from Lindsey O'Sullivan.
- The Seahawks were strong defensively to open the game as they held Truett McConnell scoreless until the 5:19 mark of the first quarter.
- A Keondra Smith basket with 3:49 remaining in the quarter gave Keiser their largest lead of the night, 11-2.
- The Bears responded with a 6-1 run to draw within four, but Antigonie Sanabria drained a three with 15 seconds remaining to give Keiser a 15-8 lead after one.
Keiser 32, Truett McConnell 34
- After both teams traded triples to open the second quarter, Truett McConnell seized momentum with a 10-2 surge to take their first lead of the night, 21-20 with 7:13 left in the quarter.
- Sanabria stopped the bleeding shortly as she put the Seahawks back in front, 22-21, at the 6:56 mark, but the lead didn't last long.
- Truett followed with a 10-0 run to build their largest advantage of the night, 31-22 with 4:48 left in the half.
- A clutch three from Sanabria slowed Truett McConnell and sparked a 10-1 run for Keiser as they drew even at 32. Sanabria bookended the run with her third trifecta of the half.
- The Bears took the lead with a layup in the closing seconds to head into the break with a 34-32 lead.

- Keiser drew even with the Bears three times in the quarter, but failed to take the lead.
- Following an Andressa Nascimento basket at the 5:24 mark that tied it up for the final time in the period at 42-42, the Bears used a 5-0 run to retake the lead.
Keiser 63, Truett McConnell 66
- Keiser opened the final frame strong with a 9-3 surge to retake the lead, 55-53, their first since the 6:56 mark of the second quarter.
- The Bears ended the run at the 5:34 mark with a three-pointer that put them back on top.
- Trailing 61-59, Daniela Barrios came away with a key steal and drew the foul on the other end to have a chance to tie the game at the line with 2:13 remaining. The sophomore sank both to even the score.
- O'Sullivan put the Seahawks back in front, 63-61, at the 1:57 mark following two made free throws.
- Truett McConnell tied it up at 63-all with 39 seconds left in the frame and then later banked in a floater with nine tics remaining for the go-ahead score.
- 4: Barrios finished with a game-high four steals.
- 6: The sophomore also racked up a game-high six assists.
- 7: All seven Seahawks that played recorded a made basket.
- 9: Sanabria pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.
- 21: Keiser was led offensively by Sanabria, who totaled a team-high 21 points.
