Luke Simkiss made program history by becoming the first-ever Seahawk to compete in the ITA Fall National Championship.
In round one, Simkiss knocked off NCAA Division 1, No. 56 Ronan Jachuck of Harvard, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, advancing to the round of 16. Jachuck was also the top player in the Harvard lineup.
In the round of 16, he fell to the tournaments fifth-seed, Eduardo Nava of Wake Forest, 6-7, 6-2, 4-6.
Simkiss concluded the tournament with a 5-7, 6-0, 5-7 setback to Kyle Kang from Fullerton, California.

Daniel Finn said, "Luke competed really hard this weekend and proud of what he accomplished. He really battled and never let fatigue set in during the tournament. Super proud that he became the first-ever player to compete in the national championship. This is a good building block for him as he gets ready for the spring season."
