The Seahawks fell to Ave Maria 70-61 on Thursday evening in the fourth annual We Back Pat game. KU moved to 2-2 in We Back Pat contests.

Keiser University and The Pat Summit Foundation teamed up this evening to fight Alzheimer's disease. To show support, fans were able to make donations at the door or online at www.patsummitt.org.

Keiser 9, Ave Maria 15

Ave Maria jumped out to an 8-2 advantage at the 7:41 mark of tonights Sun Conference contest.
The Seahawks answered with five of the next seven points to get within three, 10-7, with 3:40 remaining in the quarter.
The Gyrenes closed the period on a matching run to lead the Seahawks 15-9.

Keiser 27, Ave Maria 37

Keiser opened the frame on a 6-2 run to climb within two, 17-15, with 7:50 showing.
The Seahawks knotted the game at 19-19 when Kelly Meade scored on a floater in the paint with 6:35 left.
Emily Patton put Keiser in front for the first time, 24-23, with a three-pointer at the 5:45 mark.
After flipping leads, Ave Maria closed the half on a 13-4 run to lead 37-27.

Keiser 44, Ave Maria 56

The Seahawks trimmed the deficit to single digits, 39-31, on a Meade layup with eight minutes left.
KU closed to within single digits, 46-37, but went into the fourth quarter trailing AMU, 56-44.

Keiser 61, Ave Maria 70

The Seahawks outscored the Gyrenes 6-3 in the opening five minutes to get within 59-50.
Ave Maria answered back with five straight points, upping the margin to 64-50 with 4:03 to go in the frame.
Keiser outscored the visitors 11-7 down the stretch but fell in the contest, 70-61.
