Keiser went on the road for the first time in 2020 and fell to No. 2 Southeastern 115-59 on Saturday evening.

How it Happened

First Quarter
Keiser 13, Southeastern 29
  • Southeastern jumped out to an early 11-2 lead, forcing Keiser to take a timeout with 7:31 remaining in the quarter.
  • Out of the stoppage, a Midori Long layup and Antigonie Sanabria three-pointer brought the Seahawks to within six, 13-7, at the 6:33 mark.
  • The Fire closed the quarter on a 16-6 spurt to lead, 29-13. SEU shot 61 percent in the opening period with Taylah Simmons scoring 16 of their points.

Second Quarter
Keiser 26, Southeastern 51
  • Keiser forced the Fire to take a timeout with 7:26 to go as the margin was trimmed to 31-16 on the heels of a Sanabria three-pointer.
  • The Seahawks held SEU to just five points at the midway point of the quarter while getting as close as 34-20.
  • Southeastern outscored KU 17-6 down the stretch to lead 51-26 at the intermission.

Third Quarter
Keiser 33, Southeastern 89
  • Southeastern outscored the Seahawks 38-7 in the frame to take an 89-33 advantage into the fourth quarter.

Fourth Quarter
Keiser 59, Southeastern 115
  • Long tallied the Seahawks first six points of the frame, finishing with 11 in the quarter.
  • The Fire went on to defeat the Seahawks by a final score of 115-59.
