The Seahawks started the New Year with a 75-53 victory against Warner on Saturday afternoon inside the Student Life Center.
Emily Patton and
Antigonie Sanabria led the Keiser offense with 22 points apiece as the duo combined for seven three-pointers.
Keiser 17, Warner 14
- Four Seahawks scored as Keiser took a 12-3 advantage with 6:41 left in the opening quarter. The first six points came on back-to-back three-pointers from Patton and Kelly Meade.
- The Royals got as close as two, 16-14, with 1:28 remaining but KU remained on top by three at the end of the frame.
Keiser 32, Warner 28
- Warner tallied four of the opening five points, tying the game at 18-18 with 8:53 to go in the quarter.
- After the game was evened at 21-21, the Royals ran off five straight point to go in front, 26-21 at the four minute mark.
- The Seahawks closed the half on an 11-2 run to lead the Royals 32-28 at the intermission break. Sanabria and Midori Long scored four points apiece during the spurt.
Keiser 55, Warner 39
- Keiser opened the new half on a 6-2 spurt, extending their advantage to 38-30 with 7:18 to go in the period.
- Following five straight points from the Royals, Sanabria and Patton drilled back-to-back three-pointers to lead 44-35 with 5:34 left.
- The Seahawks outscored WU 11-4 during the remainder of the quarter, taking a 55-39 advantage into the fourth.
Keiser 75, Warner 53
- The Seahawks ran off the first seven points of the quarter to lead 63-39 with 7:25 showing on the scoreboard.
- Keiser led by as many as 24 in the game, 65-41, at the 7:10 mark when Long connected on a floater in the paint.
- The Seahawks continued to cruise in the conference game, winning by a final of 75-53.
- 3: The Seahawks had three players finish with double-figures, led by 22 from Patton and Sanabria.
- 6: Long finished with a game-high six assists.
- 9: Long and Sanabria had nine rebounds apiece to lead Keiser on the glass.
- 11: Keiser connected on 11 three-pointers led by five from Patton.
- 14: KU went 14-of-20 at the charity stripe.
- 16: Keiser broke the game opening with a 16-0 run between the third and fourth quarters.
