The Seahawks returned home on Thursday evening and held off St. Thomas, 85-76. With the victory, Keiser returned to .500 on the year at 9-9 overall.Â
Keiser led by as many as 26 points in the third quarter before the Bobcats cut the margin to two with 3:20 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Keiser 19, St. Thomas 15
- Following two lead changes and the game tied at 6-6, the Seahawks went on a 10-1 run, taking 16-8 advantage with 2:32 to go. During the stretch, Daniela Barrios and Emily Patton connected from deep.
- Out of their own timeout, St. Thomas scored the next six points to get within three, 16-13, with 1:33 left.
- A coast-to-coast layup with a foul on Antigonie Sanabria stopped the run while extending the margin to 19-13 with 15 ticks left.
- The Seahawks went on to take a 19-15 advantage into the second quarter.
Keiser 41, St. Thomas 22
- Keiser notched the first five points of the frame before breaking the game open with an 11-2 spurt to lead 35-17 at the 2:26 mark. Barrios accounted for seven points during the run.
- The Seahawks held the Bobcats without a field goal down the stretch, taking a 41-22 lead into the halftime break.Â
Keiser 68, St. Thomas 51
- Just like the second quarter, Keiser tallied the first five points, upping the margin to 46-22 with 8:30 remaining.
- St. Thomas got as close as 50-31 but a 9-2 run gave Keiser their largest lead of the game, 59-33, with 3:25 to go.
- The Bobcats outscored the Seahawks, 18-9 to climb within, 68-51, with one quarter remaining in regulation.

- As the Seahawks were unable to connect on a field goal, STU trimmed their deficit to eight, 75-64, with 5:17 to go.
- Out of a timeout with 4:35 remaining, Patton connected on the first field goal of the quarter, but the Bobcats ran off the next eight points to trail by two, 76-74 with 3:20 showing.
- After Patton missed two free-throws, Long came up with a huge offensive rebound and scored on the put-back while being fouled to make it, 79-74 with 1:57 to go.
- The Bobcats were unable to get any closer as Keiser converted in the clutch moments down the stretch, winning, 85-76.
- 5: Keiser had five players finish in double-figures led by a career-best 21 from Barrios.
- 7: The Seahawks connected on seven field goals in the first and second quarters.
- 8: Keiser went 8-of-8 at the free-throw line in the opening half.
