Keiser Highlights
  • Drew Reilly and Juan De La Cruz had three hits apiece as Keiser finished with 14 hits in the opener of the doubleheader.
  • Shane Olive, Reilly, and De La Cruz had two runs batted apiece.

  • Jake Voss picked up the win, moving back to .500 on the year at 3-3. The senior didn't allow an earned run while striking out a pair.

Strong Pitching
The combination of Voss and Ryan Powers held Florida National to just five hits. The Seahawks did not allow an earned run in the contest.

How it Happened
  • The Seahawks used back-to-back two-out, RBI singles by De La Cruz and Nate VanKan to take a 2-0 advantage in the first.
  • Florida National scored an unearned run in the second on an RBI double to right-center and the game went scoreless until the fourth.
  • Ezequias Encarnacion plated the first run with a double to right-center and eventually scored on a wild pitch to lead 4-1. Olive connected on a solo home run to left as the margin stood at four runs.
  • Keiser tacked on four runs off four hits in the seventh to extend their advantage out to 9-1. The highlight of the scoring was an RBI single by De La Cruz.
  • Reilly ended the game early in the eighth with a two-run home run to left as Keiser took game one, 11-1.

Keiser Highlights
  • De La Cruz and Crocitto led the offensive charge with three hits apiece as Keiser boasted elven in the contest.
  • Hall led the team with three RBI's while Crocitto and Gottsacker had multiple runs batted in.
  • Amiel Abreau took a no-decision despite throwing a solid 4.2 innings with a strikeout. The lone run allowed was unearned.
  • Todd Mercado earned the win after throwing 1.1 no-hit innings with two strikeouts.

How it Happened
  • Garrett Hall scored the first two runs with a single to center in the first before Keiser added three more in the second.
  • The Seahawks loaded the bases with nobody out when Nick Diaz lifted a sacrifice fly to left to lead 3-0. After retiring the first batter of the inning, Crocitto ripped a two-run single through the right side as the advantage rose to 5-0.
  • Encarnacion plated the sixth run of the game in the third with a sacrifice fly to right and the Seahawks added three more in the fourth.
  • Keiser again loaded the bases with zero-outs when Hall lifted a sacrifice fly to right. Gottsacker added two more runs with a double off the wall in left as margin stood at 9-0.
  • Florida National scored an unearned run in the fifth before VanKan got it back in the next inning with an RBI single to third as the lead stood at 10-1.
  • The Conquistadors tallied a final run in the ninth but it wasn't enough as the Seahawks completed the three game sweep with a 10-2 victory.
