How it Happened
- The Seahawks wasted no time scoring this afternoon, pushing across three runs in the first with one-out.
- Sanjurjo started the inning with a single to left before moving up a base on a Gottsacker walk. Hall followed with an RBI double to right and Crocitto brought the second run home with an RBI single to left.
- The final run of the frame came via a defensive miscue as Hall was caught up in a run-down between third and home on a fielder's choice but the Lions third basemen air mailed the throw home.
- In the fifth, Encarnacion increased the lead to 4-0 as he launched a solo shot to left, for his first of the season. Later in the inning, two more Seahawks came across the plate on a fielding error and passed ball to lead 6-0.
- The Lions plated a run in the bottom half on a sacrifice fly to center but Keiser got the run back in the eighth as Hall connected on a two-out double, his second of the game to make it 7-1.
- Florida Memorial scored two final runs in the bottom half before the game was called in the top of the ninth due to darkness with the Seahawks coming out on top, 7-3.
