Keiser Highlights
Key Scenario
The Seahawks overcame a season-high five errors as Sanjurjo scored the game-winning run with a two-out single in the ninth.

How it Happened
  • The Seahawks had runners on the corners with one-away in the third when Gottsacker drilled a shot into the left-center gap, scoring both runners to take a 2-0 lead.  Peter Crocitto followed with a sacrifice fly to center, making it 3-0.
  • Thomas threatened in the bottom half with the bases loaded and two-away but Tworek induced an inning ending groundout to first.
  • The Night Hawks broke through in the sixth with four runs on two-outs to take a 4-3 advantage and remained in front until the eighth.
  • Keiser's first three batters reached before a balk allowed a run to come across, tying the game at 4-4. Following a Gottsacker strikeout, Crocitto was intentionally walked to reload the bases.
  • Drew Reilly then connected on a sacrifice fly to center, scoring VanKan, who had reached on a walk to retake a 5-4 lead.
  • However, Thomas retied the game in the bottom half with a clutch two-out RBI single up the middle.
  • The Seahawks jumped back ahead in the ninth when Sanjurjo connected on a two-out RBI single to left, making it 6-5.
  • Cole earned his first save of the year after stranding a pair of runners on base as Bryan grounded into a game-ending fielder's choice.

  • Todd Mercado picked up his first win of the season, throwing two strong innings in relief, striking out four batters.

How it Happened
  • Keiser claimed a 1-0 lead in the first on an RBI single from Gottsacker but Thomas responded with two runs in the bottom half to lead 2-1.
  • The Seahawks loaded the bases in the third with nobody out but Carter escaped the jam with a pair of strikeouts and fly-out.
  • Diaz put Keiser back on top in the fourth with a two-run home run, his first of the season, making it 3-2.
  • However, the Night Hawks struck back in the bottom half with four runs, including three with two-outs, taking back the lead at 6-3.
  • A leadoff home run by Crocitto, his third of the year, brought the Seahawks to within two in the top half of the fifth. Jonathan Fernandez then used clutch two-out hitting to bring in Reilly from second to trail 6-5.
  • In the seventh, three straight Seahawk singles loaded the bases before pinch hitter, Garrett Hall, drew a game-tying walk. Keiser tacked on four more runs in the inning, highlighted by a two-run single from Gottsacker to lead 10-6.
  • TU got a run back in the bottom half before the Seahawks added an insurance run in the ninth on a two-out RBI double from Reilly to lead 11-7.
