How it Happened
First Half: Keiser 40, Thomas 35
  • The Seahawks scored six of the games first eight points, a run capped off by a Mark Gordon dunk on an alley-oop from Ryan Kroll.
  • Kroll added two three-pointers, and at the first media timeout with 14:50 to play, KU's lead was five, 12-7.
  • Thomas chipped into the deficit and eventually went ahead for the first time in the contest, using a 12-2 run to seize a 19-14 lead.
  • Keiser responded with eight consecutive points on a Jermar Perkins' three-pointer, Kroll's third long ball in the early going, and a second chance stick back from Marko Orlic that brought the score to 22-19 KU.
  • The sides went back-and-forth until the Seahawks' advantage eventually reached double-digits, 35-25, courtesy of a 9-2 spurt for the hosts, concluding with Kroll's fourth trifecta at the 3:37 mark.
  • Thomas netted 10 of the half's final 15 points, but the Seahawks went into the break leading 40-35, led by 14 first half points from Kroll.

Second Half: Keiser 80, Thomas 61
  • Thomas drew to within a single point, 40-39, with back-to-back baskets in the paint at the 17:45 mark.
  • The Seahawks held off the Night Hawks and used a 9-0 run to extend their lead to 57-48 with 10:08 on the clock, with five points coming from Perkins.
  • After a Thomas three-pointer, Keiser produced six unanswered points, upping their lead to 63-48 with 7:17 on the clock.
  • The lead then grew to the largest of the game, 71-52, with 4:37 to play on the heels of a pair of Kroll free throws.
  • Thomas never drew closer than 15 points as KU displayed solid defense and free-throw shooting to preserve the, 80-61, TSC victory.
