The Keiser women's basketball traveled down to Hialeah, Florida and defeated the Conquistadors, 77-67, on Saturday evening. With the victory, the Seahawks improved to 3-1 on the year.
How it Happened
First Quarter: Keiser 15, FNU 20
- Three different Seahawks scored as Keiser jumped out to a 7-2 advantage with 7:47 remaining in the opening quarter.
- Florida National responded with a 15-2 run to take a 17-9 lead with 5:01 to go in the frame.
- The Seahawks outscored FNU 6-2 during the remainder of the quarter but trailed 20-15.

Second Quarter: Keiser 38, FNU 40
- Despite not connecting on a field goal in the opening two-and-half minutes, KU trimmed their deficit to two, 22-20.
- FNU quickly pushed the margin back to four but a Kelly Meade three-pointer sparked a 7-3 spurt, tying the game at 27-27, with 6:24 showing.
- The Conquistadors ran off the next four points before a Daniella Barrios three-pointer and Meade jumper in the paint put Keiser back on top, 32-31, with 3:18 to go.
- The teams traded four leads down the stretch with Florida National in front, 40-38, at the half.

Third Quarter: Keiser 59, FNU 56
- Florida National led by as many as five on three occasions until a Midori Long layup ignited a 6-0 run, capped by a Lindsey O'Sullivan jumper to lead 52-51 with 3:46 to go.
- A quick 5-1 burst put the home team back in front but Keiser closed the half with six unanswered points to lead, 59-56. Emily Patton scored four of the points during the stretch.

Fourth Quarter: Keiser 77, FNU 67
- Keiser tallied the first five points of the final frame as their advantage swelled to eight, 64-56, with 8:04 remaining in the contest.
- The Conquistadors settled down and used a 7-2 run to get within three, 66-63, with 5:43 to go.
- However, the Seahawks wouldn't allow Florida National any closer as they pulled away down the stretch for the 77-67 victory.
