How it Happened
First Half: Keiser 28, Voorhees 47
  • Voorhees scored the game's first four points, but Keiser went in front for the first time two minutes in, 5-4, with Marko Radulovic's five early points.
  • After a Tigers' three-pointer, Chance Anderson threw down a dunk to make it 7-7 with 17:06 on the clock.
  • A 9-0 Voorhees run put the score at 16-7, but the run was halted by the Seahawks' second three-pointer of the game, this one off the hand of Marko Orlic.
  • Germele Florent's jumper in the paint got Keiser to within four points, but the Tigers proceeded to go on an 8-0 spurt to build a 12-point lead, 28-16, with 7:47 remaining in the half.
  • Malcolm Mabry's dunk with 6:31 to play got Keiser back to within single-digits, 28-20.
  • However, the Tigers ended the half with a flurry, going on a 19-5 run before a Jermar Perkins' three-pointer at the buzzer sent the two teams' into the halftime break with the Seahawks facing a 47-28 deficit.

Second Half: Keiser 87, Voorhees 89
  • The fast pace continued, and after the first five minutes of play in the second half, Voorhees maintained a 61-38 advantage over the Seahawks.
  • Five of the next seven points also went to the Tigers, who were able to establish their largest lead of the game with 12:51 on the clock, 65-40.
  • Keiser continued to battle, but still faced a 20-point deficit, 77-57 with just 6:39 remaining.
  • In a span of just 3:19, however, Keiser forced five Voorhees turnovers and attacked the basket relentlessly for 17 unanswered points, drawing all the way to within three points, 77-74, with 3:20 still to play. All 17 KU points during the run came from inside the paint or at the free-throw line.
  • A Voorhees free-throw made it a two-possession game with 3:14 on the clock, but Anderson responded with another bucket inside to draw KU to with two points, 78-76.
  • Perkins earned a steal on the ensuing Voorhees possession, and Orlic eventually fired up a three-pointer to potentially give Keiser a lead. It caromed off the rim, but CJ Fisher was in the right place at the right time for a tip-in to tie it at 78-78 with 2:59 remaining.
  • A Voorhees layup was answered by yet another Anderson dunk, and the score then sat at 80-80 with 1:49 still to play.
  • Two Voorhees free-throws put the Tigers in front once again, and on the next Keiser possession, a Perkins' go-ahead three-point attempt missed its mark.
  • With just 53 ticks on the clock the Tigers' were able to execute offensively, producing a layup to go along with a KU foul.
  • After the converted free-throw made it 85-80 Voorhees, the Seahawks called a timeout. Orlic got a look at a three-pointer with 27 seconds remaining, but after it bounced off the rim, Voorhees was able to control the defensive rebound and pass it ahead for a transition basket to make it 87-80.
  • Four consecutive points from Perkins made it a one-possession game, 87-84, with seven seconds left. The Seahawks were forced to foul, and the Tigers were able to make both from the stripe to go ahead 89-84.
  • A Malcolm Mabry three-pointer with four seconds left kept the game alive, but the Seahawks simply ran out of time after a foul and missed Voorhees free-throw with just one second on the clock.
