Key Stat
Keiser scored at least a run in all six innings of today's non-conference game at home against Florida National. The biggest inning was the fifth when the Seahawks pushed across five runs.

How it Happened
  • A throwing error on the third basemen off a single from Mark Gottsacker allowed the opening run to cross the plate in the first. Crocitto extended the lead to 3-0 with a two-run shot over the left field fence.
  • Nate VanKan raised the advantage to 5-0 in the second with a two-out, two-run triple to right-center. The triple was the first of the year for the Seahawks and his first hit in a Keiser uniform.
  • A solo shot from Hall, his first as a member of the KU squad, raised the margin to six as the game headed to the fourth.
  • Florida National scratched across a run in the fourth before Keiser responded with five in the bottom half, highlighted by three RBI singles from Miguel Casanueva, Hall, and Cristain Sanjurjo.
  • The Conquistadors plated a run in the fifth on a two-out single to left but KU answered with two of their own in the bottom half, including an RBI single from Gottsacker to lead 13-2.
  • A wild pitch and an RBI groundout to third from Juan De La Cruz capped the scoring for Keiser as the Seahawks won by mercy-rule, 15-2 in seven-innings.
