Set One
The Seahawks jumped out to a 4-0 advantage before Florida Memorial answered with a 6-0 run to take a 6-4 lead. The Lions remained ahead, spreading their lead to 9-6 when a Seward kill ignited a 5-0 KU spurt, swinging Keiser back in front, 11-9. The match remained a two-point game with the Seahawks in front until KU tallied four straight points to lead 20-15. Keiser remained in control of the set, eventually taking the set, 25-19.
Set Two
The second set opened as a tightly contested battle, and with Florida Memorial leading 9-7,
Faryn Salazar delivered a kill, sparking a 3-0 burst for the Seahawks, giving Keiser their first lead of the set, 10-9. After both teams traded a pair of points, Florida Memorial went on a 4-0 spurt of their own, regaining the lead, 15-12. Keiser answered right back, tallying the next five points to swing back in front, 17-15. However, the Lions rallied for six of the next seven points to regain the advantage, 21-18. The resilient Seahawks would not go away, as KU scored five of the next seven points, deadlocking the match at 23-23. Florida Memorial would go ahead 25-24, but Keiser tallied the final three points, claiming the set 27-25, taking a 2-0 lead.
Set Three
The Seahawks stormed out to a 6-2 advantage before the Lions used a 9-1 run to take an 11-7 lead. Keiser began to chip away and got as close as 17-16 when FMU rallied for four consecutive points to widen their lead out to 21-16.
Eshe Malone then delivered a kill, sparking a 5-1 spurt for the Seahawks, closing KU within 22-21. After a Keiser service error gave FMU a two-point lead, the Seahawks tallied the next three points, led by a pair of kills from Seward, to regain the lead, 24-23. After the Lions knotted things up at 24-24, Seward came away with the next two kills to give the Seahawks the 26-24 win, completing the sweep
