A pair of Keiser single-game records were broken Wednesday night as the Seahawks defeated Florida National University in five sets. Freshman Brooklyn VandeHei set the single-game mark for assists, dishing out 68. The freshman also added 12 digs and five service aces. Five Seahawks registered double-digit digs, with Morgan Leff leading the way with 26.

Set One
Florida National jumped out to a  10-6 lead to open play before a Jordan Odom kill sparked a 5-1 run, tying the set at 11-11. After both teams exchanged a pair of points, the Seahawks tallied five of the next eight points to push ahead 18-16. The Seahawks then remained in front down the stretch, taking the set 25-22.

Set Two
The Conquistadors took a 6-4 lead to open the set when the Seahawks capitalized on an FNU attacking error, going on an 8-0 run to swing ahead, 12-6. After a Florida National kill briefly halted the run, Keiser continued to control the set, pushing their lead out to nine, 21-12. FNU then tallied eight of the next ten points to close within 23-20, but kills from Eshe Malone and Odom led the Seahawks to the 25-21 win, pushing Keiser ahead 2-0.

Set Three
Florida National jumped out to a 12-4 lead and continued to control the set, stretching their lead to 20-11 when an FNU service error kick-started a 6-0 Keiser run, closing the Seahawks within 20-17. However, the Conquistadors then when on a 3-0 spurt to lead 23-17 before taking the set 25-18.

Set Four
The Seahawks hung on to a 9-7 lead early in the fourth set when FNU used a 4-0 run to push ahead 11-9. The Conquistadors remained ahead, tallying three of the next five points to give themselves their widest lead of the set, 15-11. The Seahawks then answered with a 4-1 run to close within 16-15, but FNU remained ahead until the Seahawks tied the match at 23-23. However, FNU then tallied the final two points on Keiser errors to claim the set, 25-23, pushing the match to a fifth set.

Set Five
Keiser jumped out to a 3-1 lead when FNU used a 3-1 run of their own to draw even at 4-4. Both teams then exchanged points back-and-forth and remained deadlocked at 9-9 until a Seward kill sparked a 3-0 spurt to give the Seahawks a 12-9 advantage. The Conquistadors then responded by taking five of the next seven points to tie the score at 14-14. Both squads then exchanged points back-and-forth again, and with the set tied 17-17, FNU's Maricielo Zuluaga came down with a kill to give the Conquistadors an 18-17 lead. However, the Seahawks then tallied the next three points, including two Seward kills, to win the set, 20-18, and win the match 3-2.
