The Keiser volleyball team dropped their third conference match of the year as the Seahawks fell to Southeastern University 3-0 at home Saturday afternoon. Sophomore
Abbie Seward led the Seahawks attack with 10 kills, while also adding six digs. Freshman
Brooklyn VandeHei led Keiser with 15 assists on the afternoon, while
Morgan Leff led both teams with 17 digs.

Set One
Southeastern took control out of the gates, snagging the first five points of the set. After Keiser responded with three straight points to get within 5-3, the Fire answered with a 7-3 run to extend the margin out to 12-6. The Seahawks chipped away at the lead and got as close as 18-14, but were unable to overcome the deficit, dropping the first set 25-15
Set Two
The Seahawks and Fire jumped out to a 3-3 tie to open play when SEU went on a 9-0 run to swing ahead 12-3. After a Fire service error halted the run, Keiser came away with three of the next four points to climb within 13-7. However, Southeastern pushed right back, going on a 7-1 spurt to extend their advantage, 20-8. Keiser was unable to surmount a comeback, falling 25-15.

Set Three
The third set opened as a tightly contested battle with neither team garnering any real advantage until SEU went on a 4-0 spurt to jump ahead 15-10. The Seahawks pushed back as a Seward kill ignited a 5-2 run, bringing KU within 17-15. However, Southeastern responded with a 3-0 run of their own to widen the margin to 20-15. After an
Eshe Malone kill sparked a 3-0 spurt to get KU within 20-18, the Fire answered by taking five of the six points to win the set 25-19, completing the sweep.
