KU then tallied three of the next four points to swing ahead 18-17, forcing Missouri Baptist to call a timeout. Out of the break, the Spartans went on a 7-2 run to jump ahead 22-19 before snagging three of the final five points to take the set 25-21.

Set Two
The Spartans set the tone early in the second set, taking a 5-1 lead before the Seahawks were able to cut the deficit down to 6-3 on a kill from Lilyth Cornell and an MBU service error. Keiser was able to get within 11-5 before Missouri Baptist cruised to a 25-9 victory.
