Game One: Keiser vs Rochester College
Highlights
The Seahawks volleyball team opened the 2018 season with a 3-1 victory over Rochester College. The meeting is just the second all-time between the two programs, as the Warriors bested the Seahawks 3-0 last season in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Sophomore Abbie Seward set the Keiser program record for kills in a match with 27 while Brooklyn VandeHei dished out a game-high 49 assists.

Set One
The Seahawks quickly established a 4-0 lead to open the set and built on their momentum, widening their lead to 11-5. The Warriors then answered with four consecutive points to close within 9-11 before a Jordan Odom kill stopped the run. After both teams exchanged points and the score at 14-12 in favor of KU, the Seahawks rattled off seven of the next eight points to stretch their advantage to 21-13. RC then got two quick points back before Keiser snagged four of the final five points to win the set, 25-16.

Set Two
The second set opened up see-sawing back-and-forth with neither team gaining an edge over the other until a Seward kill sparked a 7-1 spurt to give the Seahawks a 15-9 advantage. The Warriors then rallied for three points to close within 15-12 before committing four consecutive errors to allow KU to strengthen their lead to 19-12. Rochester then responded with a 7-2 run of their own to close within 22-19, but the Seahawks were able to fend off the rally, winning the set 25-23.

Set Three
The third set also opened teetering back-and-forth with both squads tied at 11-11 early on before a Laura Wilson kill for the Warriors ignited a 5-1 run to give Rochester a 16-12 margin. The Seahawks were then able to climb within 16-14 before RC tallied four of the next five points to widen their lead to 20-15. A Morgan Leff kill then kick-started a 5-1 run for Kieser to close within 21-20. The match then went back-and-forth again and was tied at 24-24 before the Warriors were able to pull ahead for the 29-27 win to claim the set.

Set Four
The Warriors claimed an early 4-2 lead before a Seward kill started a 5-0 to give KU their first lead of the set, 7-4. The Warriors then answered by claiming six of the next nine points to tie the match at 10-10. Both teams then exchanged points back-and-forth and with the match deadlocked at 15-15, Seward delivered a kill that ignited a 5-1 run to push Keiser ahead 20-16. Rochester then went on a 5-1 run of their own to tie the match again at 21-21 before the Seahawks rallied to finish off the set 25-23, winning the match 3-1.

Set One
The opening set began back-and-forth as neither team saw an advantage of more than a point until the Vikings rattled off three straight to lead 10-7. KU then answered with three straight points, including kills by Leff and Seward to climb within 21-14. However, the Vikings then tallied four of the final five points to take the set 25-15.

Set Two
The second set began the same way the first one did, with both teams exchanging points back and forth, not allowing either team to gain any significant lead. With the set tied at 17, the Vikings rallied to score four of the next five points to push ahead 21-18.
