The Seahawks led 3-1 heading into the fifth when Keiser broke through with three runs highlighted by a two-run blast from Lopez to lead 6-1.

How It Happened
- Ave Maria pushed a run across in the first on an RBI single to left but the Seahawks came right back with two runs in the bottom half.
- Sherman knotted the game with a sacrifice fly to center, plating Anfernee Torruella, who drew a leadoff walk. Lopez then gave Keiser their first advantage of the afternoon with an RBI single to third base.
- Following three scoreless innings, the Seahawks loaded the bases with nobody out but managed just one run on a 6-4-3 double play, making it 3-1.
- The Seahawks broke the game open in the fifth with three runs on three hits. Sherman began the scoring with a one-out RBI single to center and Lopez followed with a two-run homer, pushing the margin to 6-1.
- AMU plated a run in the sixth on a one-out RBI single to second before Marco Rivera connected on a two-run single through the left side, upping the margin to 8-2.
- The final three innings saw just one hit by the Seahawks with KU taking down Ave Maria 8-2 in a non-conference game.
