Turning Point
The Seahawks offensive power was the key to today's non-conference win as they pushed across a run in all but one inning of work.

How it Happened
  • Spring Arbor plated the first run of the game on a one-out solo homer to left but the Seahawks came right back with three runs in the bottom half.
  • Fitzpatrick connected on a one-out single to center before scoring on a Pena triple to right center, tying the game at one.
  • Rivera followed with a single up the middle to claim a 2-1 advantage and Lopez plated the final run of the inning on a double to right.
  • Rivera upped the lead to 5-1 in the second with a two-out double to left center, and a solo home run by Pena along with a two-run blast by Lopez in the fourth made it 8-1.
  • In the fifth, KU pushed across four runs highlighted by run-scoring singles from Rivera and Lopez, making it 12-1.
  • Keiser added four more runs in the sixth, featuring a three-run blast to left by Lopez, his fifth of the year to lead 17-1.
  • The Cougars managed to score four runs in the seventh but it was too late as the Seahawks claimed the 17-5, shortened game victory.
