Keiser Highlights
  • The No. 10 Seahawks swept the three-game series from No. 9 Bellevue with their 9-3 win this afternoon.
  • Seven of the Keiser hitters recorded a hit in the contest with Carlos Lopez having a three-hit day, including a pair of home runs.
  • Alec Lamrouex earned his fourth win of the year after going 5.2 innings with a season-best eight strikeouts. The senior allowed just one earned run on the day.

Turning Point
The Seahawks trailed by a run entering the fourth inning when Keiser struck with three-runs on three consecutive hits, highlighted by a two-run homer to right by Lopez.

How it Happened
  • Bellevue loaded the bases in the second with nobody out but Lamrouex buckled down and escaped the jam with no harm done.
  • The Bears broke through in the fourth with a perfectly executed squeeze bunt to claim a 1-0 advantage but KU answered with three runs in the bottom half.
  • A one-out stand-up double to right by Carlos Pena led to the tying run off the bat of Marco Rivera on a single off the left-field wall.
  • Lopez followed with a two-run blast to right field to give the Seahawks a 3-1 lead.
  • Keiser added a run in the fifth on a sacrifice fly to center by Justin Lara, pushing across courtesy runner Kyle Oliver.
  • Bellevue sliced the deficit to 4-3 in the sixth with a pair of unearned runs on consecutive doubles, but the Seahawks got a run back in the seventh on a two-out bases loaded walk to Anfernee Torruella.
  • In the eighth, Rivera drilled the opening pitch he saw off the fence in the left and Lopez followed with his second two-run shot of the game, lifting the margin to 7-3.
  • The next three hitters reached before CJ Fitzpatrick drilled a single up the middle to claim the 9-3 win and complete the sweep.
