Pitching proved to be the key factor for Southeastern today, as their pitchers combined for eight strikeouts while allowing just three hits in the contest.

How it Happened

• For the third time in the series, Southeastern got on the scoreboard first as the Fire pushed across a pair of runs in the first and third innings to take a 4-0 lead.
• The Seahawks were held hitless until the bottom of the third when Jonathan Fernandez picked up a two-out single to left field.
• Both teams were then kept in check until SEU tacked on a run in the seventh on a throwing error by the Keiser catcher, widening the margin to five.
• Southeastern pushed their lead to six as Dan Valerio led off the eighth with his third home run of the series before the Fire added two more in the ninth to extend the advantage to 8-0.
• The Seahawks then spoiled the SEU shutout in the ninth as Lopez drove in Miguel Casanueva on a two-out single to right center.
