Keiser Highlights
  • Seven different Seahawks recorded a hit on the afternoon, with Carlos Pena and Carlos Lopez leading the way with a pair of base hits.
  • Of the nine KU hits, four went for extra bases, including three home runs.
  • Dylan Moore struck out a pair in 1.2 innings while suffering his first loss of the season.
  • Five Keiser pitchers saw time out of the bullpen, with Fisher Cole, Darrien Ragins, and Chris Graffeo keeping the Bobcats scoreless.

Turning Point
With St. Thomas leading 5-3 in the top of the fourth, Nelson Mompierre hit a three-run home run to extend the Bobcats margin to 8-3.

How it Happened
  • St. Thomas plated a run in the opening frame before the Seahawks responded with three runs in the bottom half.
  • Pena opened the inning with an infield single to third and moved to second as Marco Rivera was hit-by-pitch. Lopez then gave Keiser the advantage as he launched a three-run home run down the right-field line for his tenth of the year, making it 3-1.
  • However, the Bobcats answered with four runs in the second, all coming with two-outs and added three in the fourth on a three-run blast to regain an 8-3 advantage.
  • Tivon Faneyte led off the fifth a double down the left field line and scored two batters later as Pena crushed his fifth homer of the year to climb within 8-5.
  • Keiser closed the gap to two as Rivera led off the sixth with his 11th home run of the campaign and Peter Crocitto made it a one-run game as he grounded into a double play.
  • St. Thomas then added an insurance run in the top of the eighth to come away with the 9-7 victory.
