How it Happened
- The Seahawks loaded the bases in the first with one out and scored a pair of runs on a fielder's choice groundout to the shortstop by Anfernee Torruella.
- KU extended their lead to 4-0 in the third on an RBI single to left by Miguel Casanueva and an RBI double to right center by Crocitto.
- Jonathan Fernandez led off the fourth with a double to left center before moving to third on a Lara single. Cansanueva followed with a sacrifice fly to center, making it 5-0.
- Following a Crocitto single, Rivera drove in a pair of runs with a deep double to center, pushing the margin to 7-0. Tivon Faneyte then plated the final run of the inning with his first run batted in of the season, to lead 8-0.
- Back-to-back one-out singles in the fifth led to an RBI single to left by Casanueva, lifting the advantage to 9-0. Crocitto followed suit with a run-scoring single to left and Rivera emptied the bases with his second double of the day, making it 12-0.
- Blatch cruised through the opening 4.1 innings, holding USCB to just two hits and striking out five, before giving up three runs.
- The Sand Sharks tacked on another run in the seventh to get within 12-4, but Connor Rooney slammed the door shut in the final two innings.
