  • Darrien Ragins threw a scoreless final three innings, allowing no hits and punching out three batters.

Turning Point
The strong pitching of the Bobcats proved to be the difference this afternoon as the Seahawks only managed one run on four hits.

How it Happened
  • St. Thomas capitalized on a pair of Seahawks errors in the first inning to take a 1-0 advantage.
  • Jonathan Fernandez recorded the first Keiser hit in the third with a leadoff single to left, but the Bobcats tacked on a second run in the fourth with a one-out home run to right.
  • Marco Rivera got the Seahawks on the board in the bottom half with a leadoff home run to left but trailed 2-1.
  • STU got the run back in the sixth after Chris Garabedian scored from third while Elih Marrero was caught up in a rundown between first and second. After loading the bases with two-outs, the Bobcats plated an unearned run with a single to second, making it 4-1.
  • Neither team managed a run in the final three innings as the teams had just one-hit apeice, with Bobcats coming away with the opening game.
