Keiser Highlights
  • Both teams finished the game with seven hits, while Marco Rivera had the only multi-hit performance for the Seahawks.
  • Shane Olive picked up the only run batted in on the afternoon.
  • Victor Hughes got the start for Keiser and went four innings, allowing just one hit, and striking out four.  Despite his efforts, Hughes picked up his first loss of the year.

Turning Point
Keiser started swaying the momentum in the seventh after scoring their lone run of the game but Thomas answered with a two-run shot in the eighth to push their lead out to 4-1.

How it Happened
  • Thomas jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning for the third straight game of the series, with a two-out double.
  • The Night Hawks were then held hitless until the fifth when Jalbert Melo led off with a single up the middle. Melo eventually came around to score on a one-out RBI groundout to second by Justin Young.
  • Keiser broke out of their hitting slump in the seventh with back-to-back singles by Rivera and Karsten Sherman to have runners on the corners with one out.
  • Following a fly out to center by CJ Fitzpatrick, Olive blooped a single to right field for the Seahawks first run of the game.
  • However, TU got a pair of runs back in the eighth by virtue of a two-run home run over the left field fence to lead 4-1.
  • The Seahawks were unable to pick up another hit during the final two innings of the game.
