How it Happened
- Keiser jumped out to a 12-7 lead before a 9-4 run by the Royals tied the game 16-16 at the 12:19 mark.
- KU then got hot from the outside, as Sarenac and Pratapas connected for four triples to jump ahead 28-24 with 8:42 showing.
- However, Warner answered with a 7-0 spurt to push back in front 31-28, with 7:18 to play.
- The game then teetered back-and-forth down the stretch as the contest saw two ties and five lead changes, with neither team leading by more than three points, as the Royals took a 46-45 lead into the break.
- The Royals opened the new half outscoring the Seahawks 14-8, widening their advantage to 60-53 at the 15:21 mark.
- McClenton's put-back slam closed KU within three, 60-57, before Warner roared back with a 16-4 run, stretching the margin to 76-62 with 9:56 remaining.
- On the ensuing possession, Pratapas connected from distance, igniting a 17-2 run, capped off by nine straight points from McClenton, swinging the Seahawks back in front, 79-78 with 2:24 to play.
- Less than a minute later, Jalen Williams connected from distance, pushing the Royals back in front, 81-79.
- After getting the ball back, Warner worked the clock down to 14 seconds before Denzell Osson drove to the hoop and missed the layup attempt, setting up one final drive for Keiser.
