How it Happened
- The Seahawks had the first goal scoring opportunity in the 12th minute as Emma Holmskov's shot curled just wide of the net.
- In the 25th minute, Filippa Millqvist fired a shot to the far post, but the Tennessee Wesleyan's keeper barely got her finger tips on it, for a corner kick.
- One minute later, Keiser broke through as Ebba Gustafsson tallied her fourth goal of the season off a pass from Josefine Troneby to lead 1-0.
- Sun Conference Freshman of the Year, Matilda Ovenberger nearly doubled the margin in the 30th minute but her shot went off the crossbar and her follow-up was blocked.
- However, she found the back of the net just three minutes later as Millqvist played a cross in from the right side to make it 2-0.
- The Seahawks made it 3-0 in the 36th minute as Ovenberger netted her second goal of the game from an awkward angle off a through ball from Alice Blixt.
- KU held a 14-0 edge on shots at the halftime break of the NAIA Opening Round game in West Palm Beach.
- Caroline Schroeder tallied the lone goal of the second half in the 53rd minute as she sailed the ball over the keeper from 30 yards out off a nice pass from Millqvist.
- Gustafsson nearly scored the fifth goal of the game during the 75th minute but her shot went off the crossbar and Holmskov's follow-up went wide.
- Keiser's defense would do the rest as the Seahawks recorded their fifth straight shutout and 12th of the season.
