How it Happened
Set One:
The Seahawks held an early 3-1 edge before Warner tallied back-to-back points to equalize the score at three apiece. Following three ties and two lead changes, the Royals pushed their advantage to 13-11. KU got as close as one, 14-13 but the Royals would claim the opening set 25-21.

Set Two:
Warner was in front 13-11 when back-to-back kills by Seward began a 5-1 run to reclaim a 16-14 advantage. However, the Royals stormed back with five consecutive points to go back in front 19-16 and force KU to take a timeout. The Seahawks were only able to trim the deficit to two before falling, 25-20.

Set Three:
The Royals raced out to an 11-3 advantage and pushed their lead to 22-14. The Seahawks then tallied four straight points to get within four but fell in the end 25-18.
