Eshe Malone put down a big kill to spark a 5-0 run to make it 13-8 Keiser, forcing JWU to call a timeout. The Seahawks upped the margin to a set-best six points, 16-10, and kept the Wildcats from getting any closer than four points. KU went on to claim the final three points of the opening set, winning 25-18.
Set Two
The Seahawks held a narrow 7-5 advantage until a
Jordan Odom kill along with back-to-back kills by Seward made it 10-5. Johnson & Wales climbed to within two points, 10-8, before Keiser claimed the next five points behind three kills from Seward to lead 15-8. KU wouldn't allow the home to get within four points before coming away with the 25-20 victory and lead 2-0 in the match.
Set Three
Neither team distanced themselves throughout the entire set as the largest lead was four points, 21-17, in Keiser's favor. The Wildcats trimmed their deficit to one point three occasions but Malone ended the match with the final point of the set, winning 25-23, and completing the sweep.

Head Coach
James Rogers said, "The team did well and always bounced back after a point. If we take the same mentality into this weekend, we could have some upsets. Johnson & Wales did a great job staying in the game and had some strong serves."
